Curie synth body

Kenneth Collins is a modified Miss Nanny robotic scientist and a potential companion living in Vault 81 in Curie began as a Miss Nanny robot, who was reprogrammed for use in the secret partition of Vault 81 as a lab assistant. Only a handful of the vault's scientific staff were working in the vault when the Great War hit, due to Dr. Olivette sabotaging the call list, which led Dr. Kenneth Collins to modify the robot and give it greater operational freedom so that it could conduct its own experiments. Collins programmed a custom feminine personality derived from some personality traits from a friend of his named Liza , then added a French-accented voice based on his grad school fling from Versailles back in '46, and loaded her databanks with "every great body of work" he had access to; Marie Curie , Charles Darwin , Michael Faraday , Alan Turing , Alexander Braun , Immanuel Kant , Max Born and Albert Einstein , and christened his creation "Curie," in reference to both her original designation CVRIE and Marie Curie. As Curie began taking on greater responsibilities, Dr. Collins insisted that the other scientists treated her as they would a human and even set aside a terminal for her personal use; an act of kindness that initially bewildered Curie, which she later came to appreciate. Through her work and interaction with the scientists, Curie gradually developed a degree of self-awareness and independence that surprised even Dr. When the scientists eventually succumbed to old age, Curie curated their remains, storing the bodies of two in empty lockers and cremating the third according to his wishes.

Fallout 4 has a variety of potential companions that provide company while you traverse the wasteland. Many come with their own quests and unlockable perks. If you want to take advantage of these perks, you first need to max out your affinity with the companion through a variety of actions. When it comes to dialogue choices, aim for nice responses such as supportive or positive ones , peaceful responses that aim to de-escalate conflict, and mean-spirited responses she seems to like both nice and mean responses, oddly enough. Below we've broken down specific, repeatable actions that will help or hurt your relationship. There are also some one-time and quest-specific actions you can take that will affect your relationship with Curie. Possible spoilers ahead, depending on where you are in the game. If you've completed the "Dangerous Minds" quest and have met Doctor Amari in Goodneighbor, you can offer to take Curie to see her. Gaining the Combat Medic perk once Curie has expressed her love for you. When you've completed enough of the positive actions above and have completed "Emergent Behavior", a notification will pop up that Curie "idolizes" you.

How to unlock: You must improve your relations with Curie , speak with her and agree to help her. Once you unlock Curie as a companion, start traveling with her and perform actions that she will approve on. After a while Curie should speak to you. You must hear her telling you that she wants to obtain a human form. Offer her help in finding a specialist that will be able to realize her plan. You must take Curie to doctor Amari which you visited during the Dangerous Minds main story quest. She can be found in the basement of the Memory Den in the Goodneighbor location. Listen to the conversation during which you will learn that the procedure is possible and that the caretaker of dead synths will help in it. Doctor Amari will tell you that she needs at least one full day to make a contact with the caretaker and prepare the procedure. If you don't want to go back to this quest later in the game, use the bed to speed up the time.

Emergent Behavior is a companion quest in Fallout 4. After gaining affinity points with Curie , she will ask the Sole Survivor if they have a moment to speak. She claims that her robotic nature and its lack of "Human Inspiration" prevents her from progressing any further in her research, and then asks for the Sole Survivor's help to become more human so that she may further her research.

Once the quest Dangerous Minds has been completed, the player character can then suggest asking Doctor Amari , a memory specialist and affiliate of the Railroad at the Memory Den , for help. After dialogue with Doctor Amari, it seems that this kind of transfer could work by using a synth body.

Doctor Amari tells the player character that she has performed risky memory-wiping procedures on willing synths desperate to escape the Institute , and that those whose procedures have failed are now in a persistent vegetative state as a result, giving the opportunity for Curie to use one of these synths, if their caretaker consents.

Upon talking with Glory or the caretaker, the process will commence and Curie's mind will be transferred into the Generation 3 synth body where she experiences new and confusing human feelings, leaving her old Miss Nanny body empty and deactivated. The title is a reference to the philosophical stance of Emergentism , which is the belief that consciousness can be an unexpected 'side-effect' of, or that it 'emerges from,' complex interactions in a system, like a brain or a similar computational system.

In any case, Curie behaves like a conscious entity, which makes her qualified for consciousness under the philosophical doctrine of Behaviourism. The title 'Emergent Behavior' catches both these aspects. Sign In Don't have an account? Start a Wiki. Contents [ show ]. We need to find an expert: a brain surgeon, an AI programmer, or similar. With her expertise with the memory pods and Synths, perhaps Curie could get her wish. There's a brain dead Synth that may be a good host for Curie. Doctor Amari needs time to contact the Synth's caretaker. I need to convince her that she should donate G5's body to Curie. Hopefully the procedure will work successfully. I should talk with Curie to make sure it's really her and she's healthy.
